In order to exercise your democratic right to vote, you must first Register to vote. The easiest way is to do it online but you can, if you wish, get a paper form and post it to your local Electoral Registration Office.

If you are reading this then you must be online already – so go to
https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote and get started.
As a result of a recent Tory change, you now need your National Insurance Number.

If you want to get a paper form* to help a less computer-savvy friend you can find and print it at
https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/register-to-vote-if-youre-living-in-the-uk

In South Suffolk, the form must then be posted to:

Electoral Registration Officer
Endeavour House
8 Russell Road
Ipswich
IP1 2BX

The deadline for registering to vote in time for the County Council election is Friday 11th April.

*It is also possible to get a paper copy of the application form by going to Endeavour House or the Babergh desk at some local libraries.
